LED technology is an emerging technology and is garnering a lot of worldwide attention. The European Union has put in a legislation making it mandatory for all future government lighting contracts to have LED based lighting instead of fluorescents or incandescent lamps. Many cities in the US are replacing their incandescent lights with LED arrays because the electricity costs can be reduced by 60% or more. In India too government is advocating for LED based lighting as a power saving solution by putting the depreciation cost of LED based lights at 50% per year instead of the standard 10% for conventional lights. There are numerous other advantages to using LED based lights instead of CFLs or incandescent lamps.
Long-lasting - LED bulbs last up to 6 times as long as CFLs, and 40 times longer than typical incandescent lamps. Maintenance and replacement costs are substantially reduced because of this.
Durable - Since LEDs do not have a filament, they are not damaged under circumstances when a regular incandescent bulb would be broken. Because they are solid, LED bulbs hold up well to jarring and bumping.
Energy efficient - A 16W LED lamp gives roughly the same light output as a 100W incandescent bulb which is common is most household. Similarly an 18W LED tube-light gives the same light output as two 40W florescent tube-lights.
Cool - Since these lights take much less power they do not cause less heat build-up. This cuts down on air conditioning costs in the home and offices.
Environment friendly - CFLs contains mercury which is a toxic metal. This metal may be released if the bulb is broken, or during disposal. No mercury is used in the manufacturing of LEDs.
Focused lighting - CFLs are not spot lights. Retail store display lighting usually requires narrow focus beams for stronger spot lighting. LEDs are way better at this.
But just getting LED based lights is not enough. There are several other factors to consider.

The right power supplies are needed to bring down the power consumption. Vendors will say anything to push their product on gullible customers. But it does not help when the right kind of products are either overpriced or their virtues not adequately explained. Our lighting solutions have a PF > 0.97 and Efficiency > 85%. What this means to the customer is that for lesser power the same light output will be produced. A cheaply made power supply may easily draw more the twice the amount of power.

Another thing is whether adequate care has been taken to elongate the lives of the LEDs themselves. Most solution available in the market ignore this facet of LED technology completely thereby reducing the life of the LEDs. Things like whether the soldering of LEDs is proper or not, is there adequate heat dissipation capacity, is there a load balancing circuit involved in case of imbalance of LEDs, all of these factors make a huge difference to how long these lamps will last.
It is because we take care of all these factors that we are able to provide a 5 year warranty on our products.
